Permission for the study of the personality profile of senior risk stakeholders within the selected organisation, through the use of the HEXACO PI-R scale questionnaire, was obtained from the selected organisation’s Corporate Affairs office and the permission is available in appendix A. Emphasis was placed on anonymity of the information as gathered by the questionnaire.

Therefore two-thirds of the answers were between 2.5 and 4.7. The most frequent score given by participants (mode) was the number 4 and the score found at the exact middle of the sample (median) was the number 4.

Personality tendencies of risk stakeholders
The results listed in table 2 serve as an assessment of the average scores within the six domains for the sample. The average scores for males and females are given in table 3 and 4. Figure 1 provides a graphical representation of these average scores per domain per sex. The data shows no major difference within the population between the scoring of females versus males within the domains. Due to the minimal differential, no further distinction is to be made between male and female scores. These are to be discussed as a collective group. Please note that low on dimension is 1.0 and high on dimension is 5.0.

(d) Agreeableness
An average to high score of 3.3 shows that these risk stakeholders lean towards compromise, and show cooperation and leniency in judgement of others.
(e) Conscientiousness
A high score of 4 indicates that these risk stakeholders are planners that organise their work in a disciplined way to achieve set goals. These risk stakeholders are careful when making decisions.
(f) Openness to Experience
An average to high score of 3.5 indicates that these risk stakeholders have a broad knowledge of various domains. This positively influences the decision-making process.
