HRM Training
Executive Summary
The two online training that I watched include Crime scene training blood and fingerprints. The videos give training on how to use blood and fingerprints as evidence in a scene of a crime. The presentation involves the use of animated images to provide the trainee with a deeper understanding of the information discussed. The management should implement training techniques such as seminars and fieldwork. These traditional modes of training are flexible and provide the reader with diverse understanding the subject. However, the video presentation is effective when giving a set of instructions to a particular employee.

to a similar audience since they both involve trainees of the investigation department.
The first video is about the use of fingerprints to identify a criminal. The video explains that if a criminal’s fingerprints are located at the crime scene, they can be analyzed and used to determine the people present at the scene of the crime. It guides the trainee on what to do or not to when collecting the fingerprints data in the field. Further, it provides a more realistic approach to addressing the issue by utilizing images in the presentation.
The video would achieve the objectives of imparting practical knowledge concerning various aspects of the investigation to the learner. In an organization, the training technique would be effective as it incorporates the various elements of communication such as visual aids and animation. The presentation would not take a long time to achieve its objectives since it summarizes the whole learning process into one video presentation. Lastly, the video would appeal to learners who are beginners in the field. The experienced members of the department would not find the presentation effective.
The tutorial is effective, but it is not worth one hundred and fifty dollars. The information that one gains from the presentation can be found with no difficulty on the web. An alternative form of training that would be applied is the use of case studies and field work. A case study is the cheapest of all forms and would consume a maximum of ten dollars. Further, the field work training is the most effective method and would consume about three hundred dollars in total.
However, the hire of an expert to handle the training would be relatively expensive but more efficient. The trainer would offer a diverse approach to the issue by providing real life example concerning the use of fingerprints in investigations. The traditional form of hiring an in-house expert is the most efficient mode of training.
The second training video is about the use of blood stains to reveal diverse information concerning the crime scene. The tutor explains that using the location of the blood stain the cause of an incident can be determined and the position of the criminal and the victim (Anon, 2015). The presentation is comprised of a set of animated images organized in a sequence. The audio voice of the trainer accompanies the presentation explaining the various aspects a blood investigation.
The trainer explains that blood-related cases have two major aspects; the blood pattern and the genetic component.
The blood patterns can give clues concerning the scene while the genetic angle can be utilized to trace the criminal. The presentation would meet several objectives. It poses a challenge to the trainee to use critical thinking in the investigation. Also, it teaches him/her of the various significant elements to consider while at a crime scene. To achieve the objectives, the training may consume few days. The video summarizes the various aspects of the subject. This presentation resembles the first video since it addresses the issue from a practical point of view. Also, they both suit the class of …show more content…
beginners.
The quality of the tutorial is quite high since it incorporates the diverse aspects of performances such as imagery, simple language, and vivid description. However, it is not worth the one hundred and fifty dollars. Alternative modes of training such as seminar and fieldwork can be applied. The traditional forms of training such as the hire of an expert can be efficient than the video presentation. An expert could offer a broader variety of services such as giving real life examples, a physical visit to a real crime scene among others. However, the presentation is efficient in the case of starters.
In a real-life organization, the two training tutorials discussed would not be efficient. They rely on the use of animated images and a set of instructions to provide guidance. They are constrained by the issues that they can effectively give training. Besides, they are can only be effective in the provision of a set of instructions. In the case where an employee requires the know-how on how to handle a task, the above forms of training would be the most effective.
The management should implement other forms of training such as the traditional way of hiring in-house experts, seminars, and field work.
An expert would be more flexible in the provision of technical advice than the video presentation. The human experience of a trainer may create confidence in the trainee after observation of how the trainer handles issues. Further, the expert can pass knowledge on various subjects to the learners. Additionally, seminars could provide a more efficient training compared to the video presentations. The event may involve diverse activities from the study of theories at the workplace to the practical
field.
In conclusion, the video presentations are effective in the communication of instructions to a beginner. They are effective since they incorporate elements such as imagery and vivid description. They are also eye-catching hence effective to the young generation staff. However, the method is limited to only giving instructions on a particular topic. The manager should adopt other techniques such as seminars and field work organizations since they are flexible and diverse in nature. They provide a learner with more knowledge on the topic.
