Halloween Descriptive Writing
The night was cold and quiet as if the whole city block went to sleep. With nothing but silent raindrops and distant voices, I wake up from my four hour slumber and looked at the time. Glancing at the clock on my computer, the numbers on the screen clearly says 12:20 pm. “Yeah, today is Halloween,” I think to myself sarcastically. Suddenly, I hear a loud rumble, like the earth was being shaken for a firm moment. Realizing the sound, I end up finding out that my stomach was just hungry. Famished to get some food, I walked out my door softly and started creeping up to my fridge, making sure that I do not disturb my parents and my baby sister in the other room. Crouching on one knee, I put my hand on the handle to open the fridge. As the LED lights turn on, I gaze upon what is inside the interior for anything that may be doable to eat. My fridge is clean, spotless, and even …show more content…
Usually, I consume the beer’s sour fizzy flavor with steak or salmon, though once it sits for about thirty minutes, the beer starts to lose carbon dioxide and its flaws as a product reveals itself once it goes flat and bland making the beer dissatisfying in the end. Looking up to the second shelf, I spot nothing but sauces. There was soy sauce, and a complete case of tabasco. Despite on being discontented on what I found, these are like the three main sauces that my step mom or my dad used in their cooking. The soy sauce would have been perfect for my fried rice, it is considerably one of the key foundations to this recipe because without soy sauce in the mixture, it is almost like pizza without out the bread. Next to the right is the tabasco, as I stare at its reddish personality, the vial looks brand new as if it was recently bought since its price tag is glued on the label. It is three fourths full due to the fact that it has been recently poured upon my dad’s freshly made pasta in tonight’s

Tired, with a headache, and not in capacity to maintain my eyes open, I remembered next day was Halloween, which was the last thing I remembered before falling sleep. I woke up and saw the watch, it was three o’clock a.m. I listened to a weird sound that came from my closet; it was soft, but I could hear it like a rat scratching the walls. Intrigued about what was happening, I woke up and walked towards the closet. The sound gave me the chills.…

The crack of gunfire in the defining darkness drew him from his sleep. He silently awakened his raw-boned family. Sitting up and listening to the pandemonium which lay outside of the windowless skyscraper. The fire danced around creating demonic shadows upon the walls and across their gaunt faces. The man held his wife’s only hand as they rolled back to their sleep. The lemon soured light beamed throughout the city resting like a gargantuan beast, overpowering the horizon. The Dilapidated buildings, the burning city, a destroyed world. Once again he was first to rise.…

On the night of Saturday, October 11th, Logan and I went out for a typical Saturday date night. This night in particular we had decided to do a haunted hayride called the Gauntlet at Harvest Hill Farm. The night was going well, we were enjoying one cheap scare after another. Until, suddenly the ride in front of us tumbled down a hill and rolled over. I don't recall thinking at all,…

I couldn’t sleep at all last night. The nightmare of the past events haunted me all throughout the night. The visage of the body being laid out and defiled in the middle of the cold, barren road was still within my head like looking at myself in the mirror. I was near the brink of collapse, unable to bear what had just happened. I stayed in bed till about midday when I woke up from my slumber, my face dry from tears.…

For the first time, I felt real fear, my legs juddering every step I take, like a man on a tight rope. In my mind, I was mentally preparing myself for the plague to pierce through the windows, with the sound of whirling ghosts filling the room and slowly take me away from this wretched place. Though all my anticipation and mental planning went to waste, I fell into a deep sleep as the sun was returning, and woke again in the next night. Slowly the windows were cracking, the fog pounding on the window, putting so much pressure on it that the house seemed like it could burst open like a balloon. Luckily I could react, I grabbed what was closest and ran.…

Rocketing across the water, the beach and sky blur into one. But in my mind everything is still, even calm in fact. My eyes dart around. I see men. Pain and panic fill their eyes. Some tremble as if catching a fever. Other soldiers clutch on to their weapons as if gripping onto their mother’s hand when learning how to walk. Some soldiers drink from their canteens, as if it’s the last drink to enter their bodies. I feel my heart race, blood pump through my veins. The Captain yells, “30 seconds! Good luck, men. May God be with you and I’ll see you on the beach!”…

In viewing the sublime town, I move at a languid gait, despite the fact that it is midnight. The phase moon is visible as a fully illuminated disc that is encircled by shimmering stars; which creates an atmosphere that makes me feel unravel. Below this stupendous sight is a barren house that is totally in contrast to the scenery above it. The house is dark and is surrounded by white clouds; however the luminous light from the moon shines on this haunted house. Some of the windows are broken while some are cracked and filled with moulds. The roof is large and has several apertures and is falling at the seams. It lacks iridescence as it embeds only one fainted colour – grey. I quiver as the cold breeze blows, and the smell of mist fills the air and the leaves around the house arise. I am now in a state where my mind is not lucid, as I muddle whether I should return home or to continue this haphazard adventure.…
