Halloween Should Be Allowed
Local Governments should not put an age restriction to teens 16 and older on a yearly tradition

that has been around for 2,000 years. Teens should have the ability to go out walk around

with friends, get candy, and have some exercise at the same time.

Teens should have the freedom to roam around the neighborhood and have a good time

on halloween, especially if they have friends with them. During the day and night, teens should

Be protected since there would most likely be police cruisers roaming around neighborhoods

Good, parents should no longer have to worry about there children to get hurt, robbed, or even

For instance, the city of North Richland Hills maintains a law ordering that a man less than 17 years old years old must not be out amid the hours of 11:00 pm to 6:00 a.m, Monday through Thursday. In its modernity, Halloween is the only day out of the entire year where a person is encouraged to be someone wildly different from themselves, with (almost) no negative repercussions. Thus, people tend to outdo themselves when it comes to crafting their "persona" for the night, taking much of their inspiration from movies, video games, the news, and even Internet memes to build the greatest costumes.…

    Drinking Age Research Paper

Bars and many dance clubs are strictly for those 21 and over due to the legal drinking age in America, so many legal adults are not permitted entry. Clearly a discrepancy exists between an 18 year old adult and a 21 year old adult; however, since they are viewed by law as equals shouldn't they have the same privileges (Daniel 140)? Obviously certain laws that regulate activities by age are necessary. Voting, alcohol, and driving should not be available to people of any age because of the amount of responsibility these activities require. However the segregation between younger and older adults is unwarranted. Up until 1984 the legal drinking age was 18, however Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) spurred a campaign to raise the age limit to 21. They succeeded with the passage of the National Minimum Purchase Age Act in 1984. The law aimed to lower the number of drunk driving accidents, which it has done, but only by a small margin. However, what it has also done is reduce the rights of citizens between the ages of 18 and 21. Americans hold personal freedom to be an undeniable right. The right to drink one's self into a drunken state still falls under the personal right category; however, this basic freedom is restricted by the implementation of the 1984 law. Instead of being able to have complete control over one's life when they reach the legal age of…

In this day and age, there are many laws and regulations that set limitations on the age at which a person is allowed to do certain things, such as voting, purchasing cigarettes, getting licensed to drive a car, and even joining the military. These laws and regulations were set with the idea in mind that people will be at the appropriate age to take part in such activities. Lawmakers believed that at these set age limitations people would be matured and responsible enough to handle such privileges. One law pertaining to age limitation that has gotten a lot of light and has been an enormously controversial topic in recent times is the drinking age, which is currently 21 years old in all 50 states within America. Some say that it should be lowered so that people at the age of 18 can take part in the privilege of enjoying alcoholic beverages while others strongly disagree and find it to be anything but a good idea. Personally, I am with those who think that the age should be lowered. I…

    Is Halloween Good Or Bad

    • 317 Words

Halloween is meant to be a day when kids go house to house collecting candy but as the years go by, Halloween is becoming increasingly dangerous with the pranks, candies, and costumes. For example, a youtuber called Fouseytube, his friends, pranked him by dressing up as a devil and turned off the light so when he went and saw the devil by his flashlight, he fainted on the spot then started hyperventilating. This is why Halloween is being spread incorrectly because of the media where people create ideas from movies and social media by turning it into reality where extreme pranks are made. That’s why it could possibly affect people’s health without realizing that it is a huge problem if the situation suddenly goes wrong. Another example,…
