The damage from the brick crippled Harriet Tubman, her entire life. As time progressed Harriet started to work towards earning enough money to buy her freedom. After failing to buy her freedom, she started to formulate a new plan, her plan to escape Harriet Tubman escaped the confines of slavery and traveled to safety. Her own physical and mental strength was an enormous factor in her breakout. During Harriet Tubman’s trip she received help that played a key role in assisting Harriet Tubman. For example, Harriet Tubman met with a quaker women who informed her of a man who helped run aways. Along the way many other brave people risked their lives to contribute to the Underground Railroad. Soon after discovering freedom, Harriet decide that other had to experience freedom. Harriet Tubman started to use her skills to better other lives.
As timed passed Harriet Tubman became a member in the Underground Railroad.
Harriet, who was once a passenger, became a legendary conductor. She was known far and wide by slaves and masters alike. Her popularity increased until she was known as Moses with the phrase “Live Free or Die”. Years went into creating near flawless plan, paths, and stopping points for runaway slaves; those who were traveling North into Canada. Harriet Tubman helped along with people such as, William Still. Soon after, Harriet Tubman accumulated a record of helping over three hundred slaves escape to the North. In all the time Harriet Tubman escorted slaves she never lost a single slave to death. Harriet Tubman lived to a ripe age considering the bounty on her head, injuries, and adventures.
Harriet Tubman is a remarkable woman, who helped those who could not help themselves. She contributed an incredible amount , which shaped our known world today for. Harriet Tubman started as a slave with nothing, but persevered on. With her own durability she became a free woman. Being free was not enough for Harriet, she assisted many in escaping their plantations. Harriet Tubman is not honored enough for her contributions to society, whether for being strong enough to escape by herself, or to return back to places where her worst memories occurred in order to save
others.
