Founded in 1834 and situated in London, England, Harrods is the biggest department store in the UK and is the world’s most famous department store. With Sigmund Freud, Oscar Wilde, and the British Royal Family as its regular customers, Harrods displayed England first “moving staircase” or what we know now as the escalator. (Note: to this day, most tube stations still do not have escalators.) After having passed through five owners, what keeps customers and tourists alike coming back to this store?
