The Life of Harry Houdini

My book report is about the life of Harry Houdini who was born on March 24th 1874. In Budapest to Mayer Samuel Weiss and Cecilia Weiss. Houdini's father who started out as a lawyer but ran into issue's because he couldn't practice law in his native city because. He was a Jew. Houdini also had 4 other brothers. Nathan William Theodore and Herman which was the oldest son from a previous marriage but Houdini would have another brother Leopold and a sister Gladys born in the United States.

After many years the Weiss family living in poverty and Houdini's father carrying many jobs to support his large family but do to the poverty and the many failed jobs. Houdini's father made the decision to leave his family and travel to the united states to find work in immigrants called the U.S the golden Land but for many year Houdini family struggled without there father in but in 1878 the Houdini family was reunited at which time the children began working odd jobs so supply extra income for the family during this time Houdini began going to school he learned to read and write and he loved to do both Houdini at and early age began to get into performing his self and some of his friends began doing little backyard circus and trapeze swings tight rope walking and all the act of the Big Top the public got to know him as the (prince of air) but after years of watching his father
