Harry Potter Passage

"Yet Harry Potter was still there, asleep at the moment, but not for long. His Aunt Petunia was awake and it was her shrill voice that made the first noise of the day." (Rowling 13) I find this passage significant because it shows the way his aunt treats him. This passage connects with me because waking up to my parents fighting or "shrill voices" happened a lot when I was younger and still sometimes happen. This passage reminds me of me because waking up to my parents fighting would annoy me but then I would have to get up to tell them to stop. I like this part of the book because this is something that many teens can relate to whether its their parents fighting or their guardian waking them up in the morning. In my opinion a lot of the non-magical
situations that happen in Harry Potter can be relatable to many. Like parents passing away, living with relatives, not liking your home life but not being able to change it, or feeling out of place at home. Even though these are only a few relatable situations in Harry Potter I know many people who could relate.
