A Bezoar is a mass from the stomach of a goat. It is composed of hair, plants, fiber, and indigestible material which forms a hard ball. This mass acts as a antidote to poisons, with Basilisk venom being an exception. It is an ingredient in the Antidote to Common Poisons.
Bezoars are kept in the Potions Classroom, and in the hospital wing. Harry used a bezoar as a solution to a poison being discussed in Professor Slughorn’s potions class. Harry also used a bezoar to save Ron’s life after he drank poison that was intended for Professor Dumbledore.
