In the 1940s, the Brighton Asylum was a series of warehouses that housed mentally unstable and psychologically damaged individuals. Today, this location is a haunted house attraction called the Brighton Asylum. The attraction is rated the scariest haunted house in New Jersey and has four different sections called Brighton Asylum, The Tunnel, Dead Escape, and Lab Lockdown. General admission is $25, however fast pass tickets are also provided to the public for $45. The Dead Escape games are $5 extra per room. Naomi Chee, the president of the sophomore class, is going to the Brighton Asylum this weekend with a group of friends and is not prepared to be scared out of her mind. Naomi states, “I’ve heard that the place is terrifying and the fact that it was a real mental institution in the 1900s is even more scary. I also heard that if people purchase a glow stick, the characters walking around are allowed to touch you.” People are aware of how frightening all the attractions within the asylum are and many are excited to experience such an event with friends. Employees have claimed that the closer to Halloween it gets, the more crowded the place is. People are recommended to buy tickets online to ensure entrance to Brighton Asylum. Tickets run out quickly so if you are looking for a scare, buy your tickets
