The biggest similarity between Colorado and Hawaii is that they are known for their beautiful nature. Both have beautiful mountains and lush, green grass. They also have beautiful, clear bodies of water. The sky has a majestic contrast with the ground below. Great, big trees are just about everywhere. They are both worth visiting, even if the only reason one goes is to admire Mother Nature. Although nature is the biggest similarity between the two states, it is also the biggest difference. More palm trees are found in Hawaii; whereas in Colorado, there are more pine trees. This is because of the climate difference. In a normal summer day in Colorado, temperatures can range anywhere from thirty degrees to around ninety degrees. In the islands of Hawaii, the temperatures range from sixty to a hundred degrees and does not change with the season. Hawaii had eight million tourists, whereas Colorado had 71.3 million. One reason researchers might have believed that Colorado had such a huge record would have been set is because of the legalization of cannabis; however, this is not the reason. According to a survey, the recent laws passed regarding weed had a negative effect on tourism. In fact, more people stated that the legalization of marijuana would make them less likely to visit Colorado than those who said it would make it more likely.
