Hawaii attracts many tourists per year because of its history, geography, and entertainment. This state is known for its many islands, volcanoes, and climate as well. When I think about Hawaii all I imagine is standing on the beach overlooking the ocean getting hit with the nice warm breeze hearing laughter and seeing smiles. Since “Hawaii is one of the most isolated places on Earth” it makes vacationing there completely stress and worry free, because you are far away from home and nothing on your mind but having a great vacation (Neri p.4).…

Born in Honolulu ,Hawaii on the island of Oahu, I lived there for two and a half years. At almost three years old I moved to a small town in the San Joaquin Valley; Hanford, California. I've grown up in a nice home in a well located area in Hanford. But growing up in Hanford I know only what I have seen here and learned about from inside the community. I didn't know much about Hawaii besides being born there and that my grandparents live there. But years later in the summer of 2014, I took a trip to back to the islands of Hawaii.…

Another reason I want to live in Hawaii is because everything is much calmer. Living in Hawaii consists of a “laid-back lifestyle” (Lovic). Life in Hawaii is peaceful. Islands function slower than any other place to live because they are “far away from many distractions” (“Pros and Cons”). Being far from distractions is calming because the “busy” lifestyle in Chicago is completely the opposite of the “laid back lifestyle” in…

I chose Hawaii because it is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the world. Hawaii brings huge amounts of people to islands because of its amazing beaches, wildlife, and beautiful forests. All of the people that come to Hawaii are seeing the amazing sites but the endangered plants and wildlife are suffering because of it. In the past 40 years tourism to the area as jumped dramatically which is good for the people on the islands because with it brings jobs and money. The amount of people on the islands on a daily basis has also jumped which has caused issues for the land with all the resources that must be used to support all those people. People of the islands are seeing how this is affecting their homeland and are trying to find ways to find the land but still bring tourism in to the islands. Many places are trying to offer more eco-friendly vacations but still worth the money to go to Hawaii, this is being referred to as ecotourism. (Wikipedia, 2009)…
