When I arrived on scene at approximately 1723 hours Ellinwood fire department was already there. I saw a large metal barn with heavy smoke coming out of it. I can see through the opening of the barn a tractor on fire and several other pieces of farm equipment inside the barn.
I made contact with a property owner Aaron Birzer. Birzer told me he parked the tractor inside the barn at approximately 10:30 hours on 3/29/2016. Birzer said he went to town
shortly after parking the tractor inside of the garage.
Birzer's wife is the one who called nine-one-one after someone passing by stopped and told her he believed her Barn was on fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Lost in the fire was a tractor and several hay bales. It was unknown at the time when I left the scene if any other tractors or equipment was damaged in the fire.
This is all the information I have at this time
