Corneal topography works great in providing a geographical map on the corneal curvature as well as software interpretation of certain conditions like keratoconus. Although they may not be relied entirely for management, it is useful for optometrist to monitor any changes in a keratoconic eye for example, before making the call to switch from glasses to RGP or refer for corneal cross-linking.
