Autonomy is freedom and independence. It is the right to choose one’s personal preferences.
Pamela has the right to choose her personal preference regarding the chemotherapy and radiation for her cancer.
Clifford, her husband, did not agree with her ideas regarding on not undergoing chemotherapy and radiation.
Advocacy
Advocacy is encouragement. It is the support for a person’s idea or cause.
As a result of Gary’s
Down Syndrome he longs for the attention of his parents.
As a result of his father’s despair and his mother’s disease, Gary has missed the advocacy he wants. Beneficence
Beneficence is benevolence. It is accomplishing something for the betterment of a person.
Pamela, undergone chemotherapy and radiation for the sake of her husband and son.
Pamela, prioritizes her family before herself, which is a best instance of beneficence
