Use the term in a sentence as it applies to the health care industry.
Digestive System
Digestive System: It is a system that involves all the organs that aid in digestion. Digestion starts in the mouth.
The human body receives nutrients via the digestive system.
Obesity
Obesity: It’s a condition where the affected person is obese or overweight.
Obesity can cause other health problems.
Circulatory System
Circulatory System: It is a system that circulates lymph and blood.
The circulatory system provides the body with lymph that aids the immune system.
Hypertension
Hypertension: It is a condition caused by elevated blood pressure.
Hypertension is lowered with medication.
Immune System
Immune System: It is a system that produces antibodies against diseases and infections.
Without our immune system, we could not produce antigens that fight infections.
Cardiac Disease
Cardiac Disease: It is an array of diseases that involves blood vessels and the heart.
Cardiac Disease can appear in both male and females.
Respiratory System
Respiratory System: It is a system that intake oxygen and removes carbon dioxide.
The respiratory system allows for breathing. One of the organs involved in this process is the lungs.
Nervous System
Nervous System: Houses the brain and spinal cord.
The nervous system allows us to perceive pain.
Cancer
Cancer: It is a condition where malignant tumors can divide and invade other tissues in the body.
Some people become stricken with cancer at an early age.
Skeletal System
Skeletal System: It is a system that provides the bodies’ framework. It consists of bones, blood, and tissues.
The skeletal system supports and protects our body.
Endocrine System
Endocrine System: It is a system that includes all of the glands that secrete hormones.
The endocrine system is responsible for secreting hormones that make us grow.
Diabetes
Diabetes: It is a condition where the body is unable to produce any or an insufficient amount of insulin.
My oldest sister died because she had diabetes.
