Health and Healing at Your Fingertips
HEALTH AND HEALING AT YOUR FINGERTIPS
Throw out the bottles and boxes of drugs in your house. A new theory suggests that medicine could be bad for your health, which should at least come as good news to people who cannot afford to buy expensive medicine. However, it is a blow to the medicine industry, and an even bigger blow to our confidence in the progress of science. This new theory argues that healing is at our fingertips: we can be healthy by doing Reiki on a regular basis.
Supporters of medical treatment argue that medicine should be trusted since it is effective and scientifically proven. They say that there is no need for spiritual methods such as Reiki, Yoga, Tai Chi. These waste our time, something which is quite precious in our material world. There is medicine that can kill our pain, x-rays that show us our fractured bones or
MRI that scans our brain for tumors. We must admit that these methods are very effective in the examples that they provide. However, there are some “every day complaints” such as back pains, headaches, insomnia, which are treated currently with medicine. When you have a headache, you take an Aspirin, or Vermidon, when you cannot sleep, you take Xanax without thinking of the side effects of these. When you use these pills for a long period, you become addicted to them; you cannot sleep without them. We pay huge amounts of money and become addicted instead of getting better. How about a safer and more economical way of healing?
When doing Reiki to yourself, you do not need anything except your energy so it is very economical. As for its history, it was discovered in
Japan in the early 1900s and its popularity has spread particularly throughout America and Western Europe. In quantum physics, energy is recognized as the fundamental substance of which the universe is composed. Reiki depends on the energy within our bodies. It is a simple and effective way of restoring the energy flow. There are no side

Cohen makes a good case against the hypocritical reasons that the British gave for their treatment of the Native Americans. First, the British did not value the civilization they thrust themselves upon even though it had been successful for thousands of years. The "new world" was not technologically advanced like many European inventions such as the globe, and the black powder weapon; which gave the British the idea that their superior knowledge made them worth more as human beings. Submission to their rule was only alternative for Native Americans. Failing that, then force and treachery were a way to handle the "savages".…

Next Step Herbal Health might not be entirely responsible for the bankruptcy of several distributors; the company engaged in somewhat shady practices, such as the forced purchase tie-in agreements with its distributors. Although these practices might not be illegal, they are still unethical. These distributing companies should have more clearly understood the business contract with Next Step Herbal Health, but Next Step seemingly took advantage of the situation solely based on increasing their profits. They could have had a more honest and mutually beneficial agreement with their distributors, in order to foster and maintain these business relationships in a healthy way: “And I tell you, make friends for yourselves by means of unrighteous wealth, so that when it fails they may receive you into the eternal dwellings” (English Standard Version, Luke 16:9). Furthermore, as the Bible says, “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets” (English Standard Version, Matthew 7:12).…

You should know that some medical frauds are simply con artists. Some medical fraud is simply a con artist looking for a quick pay off, so you must know how to spot a con man. You also have to understand that many medical frauds are victims themselves. Many people who push bad medicine believe that they are actually helping because they have been fooled themselves by someone else. With these people the standard methods of spotting a con artist will not work because they honestly want to help. You should always check for the phrase "cure-all". If a person tells you something is a cure-all 99% of the time it is actually a cure-nothing. Real medicine recognizes that each disease is unique and so there is no single procedure or substance that can cure all. Check for a single cause theory will also help. The corollary to the cure-all fraud is the single cause theory. This is simply the claim that all diseases and conditions can be explained by a single cause. Common examples of this fraud include unbalanced energy or toxins.…

    Biomedical of Health

The biomedical model of health states that the individual is not responsible for their illness and that the mind and body work independently from each other. Ogden J, (2004) However, for example, in the case of an individual who is suffering from an eating disorder i.e. bulimia, this indicates that there is a clear link between the mind and body due to the sufferer vomiting after ingesting food; therefore resulting in the sufferer being responsible for their physical illness due to psychological illness. The biomedical model also suggests that treatment is to change the physical state of the body and that only the medical profession can treat the sufferer but in this case; this would be very problematic due to the mind causing the physical illness and the sufferer only being treated for the physical symptoms which would therefore result in a reoccurrence of the illness due to the psychological needs of the sufferer being overlooked. In this example the sufferer would also be involved in the treatment of his/her illness by aiding in the change of their psychological behaviour, promoting healthy behaviour and lifestyle and the education of preventing ill health.…
