Abstract
The American health care system today is not what it used to be in the 18th and 19th centuries. It was primarily a local operated health care system which saw people undertaking natural training to be able to provide health care to its initial practicable population. The American health system is financed privately and publicly and is not centrally controlled; it is rather financed through employers and the government. Promotion of health was slow to develop until the 1980s where it has moved to the forefront within the community health sector and has become an active force in health care. The main targets of action were to accomplish the plans of nutritional education, safe diets, and healthy choices for living. In the 1980s health promotion was develop, and since then more and more people are recognizing the advantages and disadvantages of staying healthy and avoiding illness. Kozier and Erbs, (2008). The United States leads the world in the most modern and best in medical technology, medical training, and research. It offers some of the most advanced institutions, products, and processes of healthcare delivery. These achievements are certainly admirable, but a lot more remains unaccomplished. The U.S. Health Care System is yet, still to deliver evenhanded services to every American.
