Health Policy Reflection

The course description for Health Policy states that this course is designed to focus on the main issues of health policy that are effecting our society today. This class also focuses on presenting the viewpoints that sociologists, economists, political scientists, and health experts have on these main issues regarding health policy. The viewpoints from these well-educated experts are sometimes hard to understand but are completely necessary when it comes to communicating with public policy makers. This course has four main key points of focus. First this course helps students understand the basics about health policy and the political process involved. Secondly, this course looks at the overall health status of the US and teaches students
The idea is that as a coach I must do everything in my power to take initiative, lead my team the right way and help my team learn and succeed. If I do not prepare my team the right way and make the right decisions in every situation then I am letting my players down and I am not doing my duty as a coach. I have applied everything that I was taught in this class about health care in the US and the advantages of good group work to my real life in order to always make the right decision when it comes to dealing with my team and our problems. The things that this class has taught me are going to be invaluable for my coaching career and my team because in order to be a successful coach and allow my team to become as successful as possible, I must know how to lead my players in the right direction in every situation that
Every team in our conference has to film all of their games and put them online for other teams to view. There is a specific website for this film exchange and it is particularly difficult to navigate. My coach told me that I had to get familiar with the website and make sure that I knew how to upload, download and exchange films with other teams. Basically he was telling me to take initiative and get in contact with the rest of the coaches. A few days ago when I went on the website to try and watch film, I could not access anything. I had to call their customer service and I was informed that the school had not renewed the subscription to the website yet. I got together with a bunch of the other coaches that use this particular website and we decided we needed to call the athletic director and get this subscription renewed. We successfully achieved our goal. This example shows how it is to take initiative and get supporters behind you in order to achieve your goals as a group. It also shows how important it is to know how to successfully work with a group to achieve a common goal. Therefore, these are two things that this class taught me that have had a real impact on my everyday life as a
