2. Many healthcare and other
professionals use healthcare data differently. The providers which are the clinics, hospitals, and care facilities use the data to receive payments, evaluate care and control resources. The patients use medical data to keep track of their care, tests, payments and understanding the healthcare they are receiving. The payers use medical data to aid in processing claims made by facilities that the patient received care at. Employers use healthcare data to assess accidents or injuries that happened on the job, and what can be done to prevent incidents reoccurring. Government agencies use the healthcare data to see the big picture in the population in the city, state or country. They focus on the health departments and programs to control diseases and promote healthy programs for people.
