Healthy Alternatives to Prosecution Can Help Victims

“Criminal prosecution should be available for people who want to take that route. But for those who want, for whatever reason, to continue their relationships with their abusive partners, other options should be offered.”
I agree with the standpoint of leaving the victim with the decision to press charges. If some couples want to work out their issue in the comfort of their home they should have that right and not fear legal interference. With that said I believe there should be assistance for couples trying to work past their troubles. A mandatory series of therapy sessions sounds better than a prosecution, which forces the victim to relive a nightmare experience. I believe in assistance not interference. I believe some things are often repairable and second chances are part of life. Interference sounds like a reasonable option for habitual offenders.
