As a student it is easy for me to relate to Joseph on this. When it comes to academics, the work can be complicated, but it is far worth it because of the outcome; as the quote says itself. Students typically like to do only the basics of what is required to just pass the class, but personally i'd rather go above and beyond versus barley passing. On these trips we get the opportunity to go out and help others, doing things such as: playing with their kids, helping with yard work, cooking for them, building, painting and buying necessities they can't afford. The following might not be the most pleasing things but the outcome is satisfying. Seeing the families faces light up as we help them, financially, mentally or physically, is the greatest feeling.
