We was good friends with Zeus, his father, and Apollo, the sun god. He became friends with Apollo at a very early age. As the story goes, as an infant Hermes was quite the trickster. Even to this day he likes to play tricks on the gods for his own amusement. His first trick he pulled was against Apollo, the sun god. Apollo is also known for shepherding.
