I think I am not mistaken if I say that there is nothing worse in life than a war, and if it is a civil war among the inhabitants of the same town, it is without a doubt the worst of misfortunes. They were very brave. You have to be brave too, in such a tough time, to look at life with hope and choose to form a family despite the difficulties. I will never be able to thank my parents enough for their union and their decisions.
I must admit that everything was a great sacrifice for my parents. They raised, educated and nourished me with their effort and work, we must assume how complicated it is and I'm eternally grateful. And, of course, many of my memories lead me to the kindness and solidarity that came out in each of the houses. In those times the 'solidarity favors' and acting in a detached way gave strength to the people.
I remember my mother, who was a nurse, giving injections at home to the neighbors in solidarity, while they remove me from kisses and squeezed me between her enormous arms.
