smile? Is she / he a kind, polite or friendly person? In fact, we all have this silent standard within us; normally we consider a person who give us a warm smile who is a kind, polite or friendly person. Don’t we? Another scenario: We always say “excuse me” when we wanted to interrupt a conversation or passing by others? By saying “excuse me”, we will be generally considered as polite or educated person? In fact, is the “excuse me” makes individual a polite or educated person? Isn’t it a silent standard in society? I am just pondering if anybody realizes or agree on my silent standards / policies argument. The truth is our society is actually overly assuming and expecting, even we have an expectation on everything in our life. Seriously, in my point of view, society has set the standard on individuals and put expectation on people. Otherwise, how can a women smile or not will be judged for her demeanor or even personality? Disregard gender, a person who didn’t smile won’t make him / her a bad person, agree? However, I found this very interesting, by smiling, saying “excuse me” and etcetera is an extra credit or bonus for individuals, because society / others will recognized us as a good ethnic.
