Welcome back folks, I’m Clark Thompson and this is Talking Books, today I am joined by an award winning book publisher, Jack Anderson who recently wrote a book called Hidden People, Jack what can you tell us about the book? Jack replies quickly “the book is about immortal beings that walk among us, they look the same and act the same so we don’t know the difference until a man named Benjamin finds out he isn’t human and his whole life has been a lie. Clark asks curiously “so the question everyone has been asking, especially me is, are you, Benjamin? Jack woke up to the sound of oil sizzling, “good your up, I thought you were going to sleep for days” she said calmly. Jack slowly gets up and walks over to the kitchen from the lounge room, “what happened to everyone, what happened to the party and the mess, it’s all gone” Jack said confused. “Oh, it’s a mothers’ secret” she said secretively, “What time did you get back from your date?” Jack said not caring, “about an hour ago” she said, “ten?” Jack said shocked, “yep” she said quietly, Jack gave her a disgusted look, thinking that she had done something weird considering that she had only gotten back an hour before he had woken up. She handed him a plate of scrambled eggs and two pieces of toast, Jack had one bite before asking her “did you like him or do we have to move again?”, she replies quickly “why are you so interested in my love life?”, Jack replies with haste, angrily “because your love life decides the rest of my life, whether we move again or stay and I’m sick of moving and having to leave my friends as soon as I make them, I WANT A NORMAL LIFE!”, she replies hesitantly with tears in her eyes “WELL YOU FATHER TOOK THAT AWAY FROM BOTH OF US, don’t you think I want a normal life too, don’t you think I’m tired of moving, I had friends back there too, I had a life before this happened”, Jack replies sadly “you still have me, why do you need to date when you still have me, am I not good enough for you!”, she replies quickly “you are good enough for me but when you leave, I will be all alone in some big house with no one to keep me company, I will have no one”, “well I’m here now and at this moment that’s all that matters nothing else” Jack said while crying, they both hug each other and their tears drop on each other’s shoulders soaking into the
