Without the Rosetta Stone and the translation it provides, we wouldn't be able to know about the Egyptians at all. We would've know they existed but nothing else because we wouldn't have the knowledge of the language. The Rosetta Stone was a real game changer for history, most people are very grateful for it. We gained so much information just by the discovery of the stone, such as how the Egyptians the Nile river for things like farming and just as their main water source. Also their religion or form of worship is also something we found out thanks to the finding of the stone. It is safe to say that most people would think that the way history actually turned was better than the alternative of us not finding it at all. It provided us with important links to Egypt and how it functioned. Without it we wouldn't have found out the stories and hieroglyphics in the Great Pyramids of Giza. Where would we be without the Rosetta Stone? Without it we would have no knowledge on Egypt at all. History would have totally changed without this discovery. We are grateful to whoever wrote it and are glad that Champollion found it when he did. History went on the right path when the Rosetta Stone was found. Without it we could've lost all knowledge on Egyptian life. We never would've decoded hieroglyphics or solved the mysteries of ancient Egypt.
