Hinduism: The Oldest Monotheistic Religion

Hinduism is the world’s oldest religion religion, while Judaism is the oldest monotheistic religion. Hinduism, while being the oldest, is not the largest religion in the world. Judaism was once wiped out completely, until its return many years later. Judaism has only one god, making it monotheistic, Hinduism has many gods that are worshipped, which makes it a polytheistic religion.

Some of their beliefs consist of karma, dharma, moksha and meditation. Meditation is a time of thought and reflection where a person can communicate with the gods and achieve enlightenment. For Jews, God is a big part of their life style. Their day to day actions are governed by what they think God thinks. Judaism is a monotheistic religion, meaning that Jews worship only one God. That god’s name is Yahweh. The sacred text of Yahweh is called the Torah. The Torah is the first part of the Christian bible. The Torah is divided into five parts; those parts being Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. Judaism was founded a long time ago; 1300 b.c.
