The pan student should know the reason for being there and be prepared with all the tools needed for the lab. They should follow all safety measures and make sure they understand the assignment. They should wear all PPE and read all instructions and labels carefully. The student should keep their area free of clutter, food, or any other unnecessary items. They should also know where all of the safety equipment is.

Imagine you are a tour guide for a major chemical laboratory. Write a short script for the tour that summarizes what the scientists should (or shouldn’t) wear in the lab, what safety precautions they take, their rules for cleanliness, and what they do in case of an accident. Your script should contain at least ten of the rules/information from the lesson. (30 points)
You should first disinfect the area with bleach. Then make sure to tie your hair back, put on safety goggles and other necessary PPE, and remove any loose clothing. Keep the are free of clutter and do not eat or drink in your area. Make sure to know where all the safety equipment is. If it spill occurs on the skin wash it thoroughly with soap and water. If something gets in your eye use the safety eye wash. Always read the labels and containers and keep a professional attitude.
9. How might the information regarding laboratory safety be useful to you or how can you apply this knowledge to your everyday life as a non- scientist? (15 points)
You should always make sure you understand equipment that you are using and should read any instructions carefully. This can help avoid an injury or mistake outside of the laboratory
