Hoagland Research Paper
The germination of plants and their further experiments with dye degradation can be carried out using hydroponic solutions. These solutions provide a nutrient condition which is similar to that of the soil in which the plant usually grows. These solutions are enriched with various macro and micro nutrients and can be used for maintenance of plants for phytoremediation.
Soil-less grown plants offer advantage as most of the root system can be made available for remediation.

The Hoagland solution is a hydroponic nutrient solution. The Hoagland solution provides every nutrient necessary for plant growth and is appropriate for the growth of a large variety of plant species.
Its advantages include the potential for accessibility to all plant tissues
