Hollister
Target market- The target market is made up of males, females, age groups, income, and also the location of your house. Hollister's target market is mostly high school and college students. Hollister and Abercrombie and Fitch are owned by the same person. Abercrombie and Fitch were originally designed for college students, while Hollister was lower priced for high school students. I think that college and high school students both shop at Hollister. Hollister is less expensive then Abercrombie. Although it is pricier then other young adult stores. I think Hollister targets middle to upper-class income in Ohio. Most of my friends shop at Hollister since it is fashionable and reasonably priced. Retail format – The retailing format is a method for satisfying needs. Some examples are the pricing methods, advertising and promotion programs, store design, and visual merchandise. When you first walk past a Hollister you will notice that it looks like a hut. Hollister has a California image. Everything about the store has a west coast feel. Once you walk into the store you see surfboards and surfing music is played in the background. Also on the wall in the middle of the store by the checkout lane is a live picture of the beach. The picture of the beach is Huntington Beach in California. Sustainable Competitive Advantage – A sustainable Competitive advantage is an advantage over the competitor and can be maintained for a long period of time. Some examples of being more sustainable would be location, customer loyalty, exclusive merchandise, and committed employees. Hollister can promote customer loyalty by being nice to their customers and having them come back. Sometimes you can have customers sign up for credit cards. This will make the customers want to come back more frequently. Hollister is usually located by stores that attract the younger crowd. The Hollister in Toledo is located by New York and Company and Victoria Secrets. Hollister sells only clothes made
