The Bonemender by Holly Bennett shows that during a tough time positive things can happen. As the story opens, Feolan and Danais arrive at the Dchennes palace wanting Gabrielle to heal Danais who was attacked by a bore. As a result, Gabrielle gets attracted to Feolan while he stays at the palace until Danais gets better. Feolan and Gabrielle go for a ride on the horse, “I have my own reasons for asking you to return with me. My heart is strongly drawn to you (53).”Here it is clear that Feolan and Gabrielle have the same affection for one another, Feolan loves Gabrielle just as much as she adores him.
