Informed consent is when a medical professional or any type of professional gets permission before conducting a heath care intervention on a person. Informed consent can get complicated when the person doesn’t understand what the medical professional is talking about or when the medical professional ask for consent on one thing and not what they are doing. 2. How did Hoover’s FBI interfere with people’s constitutional rights? What were his justifications? When does law enforcement cross the line?
Hoover interfered with peoples constitutional rights because they conducted warrantless search and seizers and spied on people with recorders. He thought his was the right thing todo because of so many people that hated the government and plus there were terrorist that they were afraid of. The law enforcement crosses the line when the start an investigation without evidence that they are a real threat.
3. How is Watergate an example of both big corruption and little corruption?
Watergateis an example of big corruption because it was a constitutional crisis of the first magnitude, perhaps America’s closet brush with despotism. It revealed the creation of a shawdow governemnet, a secret state within a state. It signified an attempt to replace a traditional rule of law with new Machiavellianism. It was little corruotion because of the bribery and individual malfeasance.
