Ralph is running from Jack and the hunters, hoping they won’t kill him as they plan on doing. He is hiding in fear, just as some of the Jews were during the Holocaust. Lord of The Flies by William Golding is an allegory for World War II. Each character symbolizes a character in the war and the social power they represent. Overall, The Lord of The Flies compares to the survivors in the Holocaust in many ways. The survivors had to desensitize because of all the violence and terrible things going on around them, and all the boys break the morals they valued at the beginning of the story. The boys and the survivors of the Holocaust all seem to lose sight of their goals and dreams, like escaping and staying alive. Lastly, all of them are de-evolving and adapting to the resources they already have. Survivors were not left with much during the Holocaust and didn’t need anything to look forward to in their daily lives, just as boys. Golding shows by paralleling the Holocaust Survivors to Jack’s camps that there’s still hate and discrimination in the world today. Golding could also be trying to show that children can mimic adult hate and discrimination. The real world is filled much hate including racism, homophobia and other forms of discrimination, just as how the characters in Lord of The Flies discriminated and separated each other in many ways. Another example would be ISIS and how because they don’t agree with other people, they cause violence and congregate with each other because of their separate beliefs. **end with conclusion
