I. An event never to be forgotten.
The Holocaust happened because of a man named Adolfus Jacob Hitler. Adolf Hitler had a strong hatred for the Jewish race, and other races as well. His goal was to exterminate the entire Jewish race in itself. Hitler was an evil man, who would let nothing stop him from pursuing his goal of annihilating the Jews. Over six million Jews died from the cruelty of the Holocaust. The Holocaust is a major event in history that will never be forgotten, or repeated.

The six main death camps during the Holocaust were; Natzureiler in France, Ravensbruck in Germany, Sachsenhausen in Germany, Bergen Belsen in Germany, Dachu in Germany, and Theresienstadt in Czechoslovakia. A concentration camp is not the same as an extermination camp, where the purpose is to murder massive amounts of Jews. There were only two purposes of concentration camps: to demoralize and dehumanize. It’s where they punish them routinely on a daily basis, and put the dead in front of them to show how worthless they were.

The four killing centers were: Chlemo in Poland, Treblinka in Poland, Sobibar in Poland, and Belzec in Poland. Nearly 2,700,000 people died in the killing centers by asphyxiation with poisonous gas or shootings by the German SS and police.
c. The two main labor/ extermination camps.
There were only two camps that were for labor and extermination, which were: Auschwitz/ Birkenau in Poland, and Majdanek in Poland. Most of the inmates within the extermination camp had cruel jobs forced upon them daily. There was a variety of tasks for them to do. Some were forced to shave, strip, and move the dead bodies , some of which were family members. Others had easier jobs, such as working in nearby homes as servants.
During the war there was also a lot of experimentation on the Jews. Doctors would come in, and try various experiments on the prisoners, such as: freezing/ hypothermia, infectious disease, high altitude, sterilization, and many more experiments had also been tried on them as
