Now, let me explain to you the role of OFSTED.
OFSTED is the Regulatory Body for Childcare and Education in England. Its role is to make sure every home-based child carers are registered before being able to look after other people’s children. You can therefore be assured that I will meet the requirements set out in the EYFS, that I am suitable to care for your Child and that I can promote a safe environment where your Child will be safe and where His/Her learning and development is catered for.
OFSTED will carry out checks and will control home-based childcares using the following steps:
REGISTRATION: OFSTED will carry out checks on myself and anyone aged 16 and above leaving in my home. CRB checks will prove that neither myself or my family members have a criminal conviction that would mean I would be unsuitable to work with children.
INSPECTION: OFSTED will carry out inspection on myself and on the services I offer. Following the inspection, a report will be produced on their website and available to you
