Hong Kong School Music Festival: An Analysis
Every year in March, Hong Kong music teachers and students will be busy for a while. The Hong Kong School Music Festival, the oldest and most historic Hong Kong school music festival in Hong Kong, affects the timetable of schools in Hong Kong, music teachers, musical instruments and classmates, and even parents' schedules. The festival was organized by the Hong Kong School Music and Recitation Association. . The choir is so loud to go to the game, the band out of the truck carrying dozens of instruments to the venue. Personal projects is more numerous, during the school received the most letters, is certainly a absent leave letter. The fun of the competition has its uncertainty, there is no index to judge right or wrong in music, so …show more content…
Examples that how existance of conductor helps can be easily seen while the comparision of a conducted orchestra and conductorless orchestra, and different quality conductors could also be easily seen. With the comparison of conductorless orchestra, it can be seen the benefits and certain pros and cons listed out previously and they showed the difference and I would suggest that it would be more helpful and it is obviously more suggested and in the professional way. Jumping back to the competition, it is difficult to understand the words because many times we or the conductors will focus on the objective criteria of music: pitch, rhythm, bite, blending, phrasing , the above is a very important element of music. However, I often remind myself to lead by example, to show the students to show the students need to see a high degree of cooperation in the spirit of mutual respect, trust, humility, others to wide, to be strict and so on. I believe that learning music to learn life, music to a higher level, learn to do a better person is inevitable. With the conductor's verbal communication skills so easy to be appreciated in the one I observed, many would easily forget the importance of the nonverbal communication

    Our last observation this semester was with Rachel Pollard at Hartwood Elementary School. This school includes grades K-5. Mrs. Pollard is in a very unique situation, because she sees each of her classes for forty minutes twice a week. Since she has twice as much time with her students as compared to most other music teachers, her students are able to advance quickly with their musical skills.
