Ever since I was in elementary school, I have loved biological science, for it involves experiments. I was always excited for science fairs. Excited enough, I planned my science fair projects a year early every year. When I transitioned into high school, I was put in a “Regular Biology” class and immediately contacted my counselor to put me in an “Honors Biology” class. I wanted to be in a fast paced course that would teach me a lot about the subject I am in love with. I did doubt the possibility of having science fairs in high school and this upset me. As my freshman year went on, my honors biology teacher proposed a science fair to my class. This was an exciting opportunity for me as I love science fairs. I was one of the students selected. We went to a lab in Chicago where employees did things like dissect the tails of rats, look at embryos in containers, and observe the tumors in live fish that swam around healthier fish. This experience was incredibly beautiful to me. I was the first person walking behind the employees as they walked us around the vicinity due to my interest. One employee needed an assistant for the activity he created for us and I volunteered to be his partner.
