HOT OIL TREATMENT

Every individual wants to have a healthy hair and scalp that are dandruff free and shiny, easy to manage and alive. Lucky are those with lustrous hair gleaming with life.
How to achieve these enviable characteristics is the problem.

Kinds of Hot Oil Treatment
Hot oil treatment has become a byword households today. Everybody knows what a hot oil treatment is, its importance to the scalp, and how useful it is to hair as far as softness and smoothness are concerned.
Women and even men go to the parlor for scalp treatment.

1) Local Hot Oil Treatment or Homemade
Scalp Treatment


This is done at home.

a) Kakang – gata
This is the first extract from the grated coconut. It is creamy, and upon long standing, oil from the coconut surfaces on top.
Use of this oil makes the scalp healthy and oily and the hair is inhibited from premature greying. Growing of hair is fast.

b) Coconut oil
This oil can be obtain by cooking the kakang – gata.
Pure coconut milk is cooked over low heat for several minutes until it curdles or sets and oil seperates.

c) Sabi - gata
This treatment is a mixture of a sap of the sabila plant or aloe vera and coconut extract.
Sabi – gata is more effective than the foregoing two treatments because of the combination of the two very effective substances in scalp treatments.

2) Commercial Hot Oil Treatment







This is done in the parlor.
There are several commercial brands of hot oil treatments offered to customers in the parlor.
They compete with one another as to effectiveness to the scalp and hair.
Though the service is known as hot oil treatment, the material used id not oil but emulsion or cream.

Tools and Materials for
Hot Oil Treatment

1) Oil
- is a greasy liquid used as lubricant.

2) Cape
- is used to protect the patron’s cloth.

3) Comb
- is used to seperate the hair and remove tangle.

4) Hairbrush
- is used to loosen dandruff and remove dirt.

5) Bowl Enamel
- is used for heating the oil.
