Hotel Rwanda the movie is about the Hutu extremists of Rwanda beginning a terrifying campaign of genocide, killing hundreds of thousands of minority Tutsis while the rest of the world did nothing to help. The main character of this story is Paul Rusesabagina, a hotel manager at the fancy Les Milles Collines hotel in Kigali. Rusesabagina's acts to save the lives of his family and more than a thousand other refugees, by granting them shelter in the besieged Hotel des Mille Collines. Paul Rusesabagina had shown many leadership qualities during the movie like responsibility, dedication, and courage. These values are what helped him successfully save his people.
One of the many leadership qualities Paul Rusesabagina has is responsibility .He made himself responsible for the people in the hotel. He would always find a way to save his the refugees in the hotel whether it was paying the Hutu off or calling for help. Paul also made sure his family was always safe no matter what. In my life I believe that you should be responsible, as an XO I am responsible for grades in my company and make sure they keep there grades up.
Paul showed much dedication in the movie to the well being of his family. He would risk his life by letting his family go in a transport while he stayed and helped the refugees that were left behind. At the end he successfully got to a refugee camp and became safe. In my life I will be dedicated to supporting my family and giving them a good life.
Courage is the leadership trait that I saw the most; Paul faced many great dangers whether it was protecting his family from rebels or trying to save his people. Courage is something that I will end up having to use in my life. Depending on the situation I would have to step up to something that maybe I’m afraid to do.
Hotel Rwanda was an extremely good movie it shows many leadership traits and values. At the end it said Paul Rusesabagina saved
