My Dream Home
Home, the place one spends more time in their life and share special moments with family. Where one expects to live permanently carefree, feel protected under the roof of their house. One day I want to have a home that makes me feel well and where I can be safe and happy. The purpose of this essay is to discuss and fine structural decisions I made about designing my dream house.
The house of my dream has to be huge, spacious, which would reflect my personality toward innovations and new modern technological advances. . I would like my house count as much as possible with green materials that serve to protect the environment I want my house to be located in a place away from the disturbance of a big city, but at the same time not far from civilization. My personality and lifestyle would allow me to feel comfortable in such a place like this. I think a perfect place to live for me would in California although I do not know exactly what part of it I know California is the kind of environment in which I would like to live. Being one of the largest states California has many large and famous cities in which my house could be built as San Francisco or Long Beach. The Mediterranean climate is also perfect for me because I am already used to hot temperatures with nice cold winters.
The design I want for my house is a stunning example of Art Deco Streamline Moderne house style. Streamline Moderne is a late type of the Art Deco design style which has been around a long time ago, but it is now that it has gained popularity. Its architectural style emphasizes curving forms, long horizontal lines, and sometimes nautical elements. This streamline simplicity is portrayed through the use of crisp, symmetrical geometric forms, enabling diverse furnishings to

Utopia suggested that architectural designs should be able to communicate thus it can be applied in developing meaningful architectural designs. One of the main roles of utopia is to spark imagination in the social context. On the other hand, modern architectural designs must be able to take advantage of imagination and technology to develop exemplary designs. In a town setting, buildings must have an arrangement that can create a message in the social space. The setting of such structures should be able to create an impression of what people of a certain area think. It is technically a social manifestation through a physical appearance in space. This is one ideology of utopia that did not find a place in the past. However, modern day’s planners and architects tend to come up with communicative designs of buildings and roads. One can brand the modern day architects as decorators but truly, it is a manifestation of utopia in the modern architectural designing. Utopia puts in more emphasis on patterns and arrangement that will match with the social sphere of a particular region.…

On a four-acre site near San Diego, the house is composed of two overlapping private wings, with the public spaces at the center. Cunningham drew a design in the dirt; it became his first house. “Wing House” set the tone for his career; bold sweeping curves carved into the hillside, a combination of structure and sculpture. He spent hours in the house while it was under construction to make sure that the skylights were situated to provide occupants a view of the moon’s path.Using cast concrete and glass he carves out spaces that accentuate the landscape in which they are situated. He builds the structure into the space rather than clear the space for the structure. Spans of glass bathe the interior in light but also double as a frame, allowing the land or seascape to serve as ever changing art for the walls. The lines between inside and outside also become blurred; the open plans and inclusion of pools, interior gardens, meditative spaces, his situating of vistas, and the landscape itself are all included in the floor plan.…

Robert Venturi was only thirty-four when he was requested by his mother to design and build a house for her. Up until this time all of Venturi’s designs had been mostly theoretical. He was now given a chance to make them concrete.2 It could be understood that Robert’s mother’s house was designed to help him with his career; he was given an opportunity to design and construct a building instead of writing and teaching about them. The Vanna Venturi House was to be Robert Venturi’s first building. Like many architects he was driven to test his ideas through construction.3 The house went through six basic schemes and six models were made to clearly exhibit the form of the house and Venturi’s evolving ideas.4…

In this paper, I will discuss what a “home” is and the different levels of meaning it has for people. Specifically, I will discuss how Aristotle and Socrates define the home. Most people think of a place to live when they think of the word, “home”; it is a place where one bathes, sleeps, eats, and spends most of one’s day in the comfort of your own privacy. But what is the difference between a “house” and a “home”? People tend to make more of an emotional connection to the word “home” than they do to the word “house.” Although a house can also be described as a place where one lives, bathes, sleeps, and eats, it is commonly associated with being an actual building structure whereas a “home” can signify more than just a physical place. As traditions of home-life become less and less observed due to constant societal changes, we become increasingly attached towards a nostalgic meaning of home. “Home” is a place where one can find one’s roots, a place that will always be there, loyally waiting for one’s return.…

An important maxim for this design is that the form follows function, especially in a home upgrade. Basically, it is bringing that old designing, space and materials into the current world. It diversely utilizes concrete applications, complete grills and bars for full outdoor entertainment, unlike the old uneven brick patios that were only for five folks and a charcoal grill .The landscape plantings will not need regular hedging, since we are not interested in the old excessive manicuring of the hedges. The functionalities and forms of an old home can be significantly brought up by a contemporary landscape design.…
