How Did African Americans Contribute To The Civil Rights Movement
The historical roles of women and African Americans in contributing to the Civil Rights Movement by fighting for their rights. Women took over men’s jobs while they went off to war. African Americans were separated from whites while they worked for a lower wage. The United States was concerned about its global image with the spread of communism. The Cold War and the Civil Rights Movement were a couple of the most significant causes of change in the West. The Cold War was a global, political, and ideological war between the United States and the Soviet Union. There was no direct military contact between the United States and the Soviet Union. In a marriage, women are expected to carry out her husband’s every order and agree with him about everything. Men did not want women to take over their jobs after the war. They wanted to keep women at home to cook and clean so they could come home to a meal and a clean house. Women were to care for their children while their husbands were at work. The struggle for black freedom is connected to the Third World. During the Cold War, both sides were fighting to align themselves with nations. Activists challenged racial discrimination and fought for equal rights and were seen as a reflection of the global Cold War. The global Cold War was combined with the fight for equal rights. The United States was fighting to “win the hearts and minds” of the people of the Third World. The Third World was used during the Cold War to refer to the countries that were fighting to align themselves with nations.
