How Did Americans Contribute To Manifest Destiny

Stealing hopes and dreams while crushing spirits and souls based on where they camped from was commonly practiced during the time of expansion. Supposedly Manifest Destiny was America's God given right to expand their territory, religion and ideas to the West. The small crowded states needed to branch out into their newly acquired territory purchased in the Louisiana Purchase to get new resources and use the land they owned. They needed all of the land they could get which included Indian land. The Indians had followed Thomas Jefferson's idea to adapt to the American ways but they were still forced out of their homes and went on the Trail of Tears. America could not stop there though. The greed and thirst for conquest grew rapidly like a beast. Soon Americans began to settle in Texas which was in newly independent Mexico. Americans did not follow the rules that went along with their comfy home in Mexico. Texas began to separate from Mexico and conflict fired up along the Rio Grande. With dictator Santa Anna in charge Mexico fought Texas. At the battle of San Jacinto Santa Anna was forced to sign the treaty that gave Texas their independence. He was determined for a war of conquest. America used the borderline of Texas to fight Mexico until the American blood was shed on American soil. Bang!
