How Did Christopher Columbus Discover The Caribbean
Christopher Columbus was born in the year 1451 in the Republic of Genoa which now is referred to as Italy. When he was in his twenties he then moved and resided in Lisbon, Portugal, then later moved into Spain and he lived out the rest of his life there. He was famous for being an Italian explorer and navigator. In the space of 1492 and 1504 he made a total of four voyages to the Caribbean and to South America. He has also been recognized for opening the Americas to European colonization.
There is a lot of opinions about Christopher Columbus discovering the Caribbean. A lot of people believe that he really did discover the Caribbean, but then there is the other view that he rediscovered the Caribbean because there were persons living here already.
