In this era of colonization, during 16th to 17t century, three types of colonies took shape in America, which definitely changed the life of Native Americans. This was a period of a New American World. Slavery was given a new definition under English law. For example, in 1662, a Virginia Statute declared, “all children borne in this country shall be held bond or free only according to the condition of mother”.
