How Did Joseph Stalin Change The World
Joseph Stalin was a man who brought fear to the eyes of society. He was a ruthless leader who was determined to succeed no matter what the cost may be. However, he wasn’t always a man who brought fear to another mans eye, but a man most people would poke fun at. Sometimes he wasn’t even acknowledged would not even be acknowledge. Despite all of the abominable things he had done while in power. Stalin was able to transform a country that was behind the world in development and technology into a industrial and military superpower.
Through out Stalin's early years he was faced with some challenges life had brought to him along with the start of his career. Stalin was born as Josef Vissarionovich Djugashvili. He was born in Gori, Georgia on December 18, 1878 or December 6, 1878, according to the Old Style Julian calendar. In spite of the fact Stalin later changed his birth date to December 21, 1879.While Stalin was just a boy he had contracted smallpox. Which left permanent scars on his face causing him to be made fun of often in school. Additionally Stalin was raised in poverty. His mother was a laundress and father was a cobbler. During this time Stalin led the Soviet Union into the nuclear age. With its first successful nuclear bomb test in 1949. Stalin also gave North Korea permission to invade South Korea the following year not thinking that the United States would get involved.
As time went on Stalin grew more and more paranoid and continues to conduct purges against his enemies within the party. Stalin later died on March 5, 1953, after suffering from a stroke. Joseph Stalin left a legacy of terror and death while he transformed a country from a peasant society into industrial and military world superpower. However after his death he was denounced by his successor and the process of destalinization
