Early life Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo had an almost unknown early life. He was born March 13, 1499 Montalegre, Portugal. Although many other small cities of Portugal claim to be his birthplace. He would die because of of his infected wound. When his group tried to go back to San Miguel, they were attacked by Tongva warriors, a tribe in the area. Juan would take a harsher wound trying to help his crew by climbing over rocks, but would break his shin bone and it would get infected with gangrene, a disease. That expedition they went on, would never reach success, as they never found a really rich city. However they would claim more land for Spain and 2 centuries later that very same land would turn into Mexico.

First, Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo was also one of the explorers trying to find a route for the northwest passage so they could save a lot of time delivering goods to other countries. He also discovered a gold mine in Guatemala and would help import and export the goods to the new world. Soon France would come in a war with new Spain and Mexico weakened France. So when Canada tried to attack the French, France had surrendered. So it made it really easy for Canada to get in France. So Juan made Mexico rich making France want to get some gold and they had a war in which Canada would easily take over
