Martin Luther king was a great leader he fought for the rights of African American people, he was active during the 1950’s and 60’s sources state. He stopped racial segregation by protesting, and his speeches.

When martin was young he had a tough childhood he was born in the south in those times African americans did not have the same rights as white people, so he could not go to the same restaurants
Protest
He has done many protests for example the Montgomery Bus Boycott, The White Restaurant Sit Ins, and his march from Birmingham Alabama to Washington DC. He also has made speeches that stopped racial segregation. Such as the “I Have A Dream” speech.
Overall
He was a great leader in the 1950’s and 60’s unfortunately he was assassinated on april 4,1968 by James Earl Ray; a white terrorist. I wonder what he would of thought about the world today?

Malcolm X
Who Was Malcolm X?
Another historic leader was Malcolm X, he also fought for civil rights of African Americans (many sources) state that he is best known for being a leader in the Nation of Islam. And stance against racial integration.
What He Did He was also known for being an activist, and he ran violent protests.When he went to prison in 1946 for committing a burglary his brother sent him a letter mentioning a new religion the nation of islam the believed that black people are superior to white people. And that the nation of islam wanted their own country. He also wanted for the Black and White people to be segregated. And for the white people to leave black people alone.
His Death Malcolm X later left the nation of islam because he noticed that white and black people need to be united not segregated. Once he left the nation of islam, he was assassinated by the nation of islam on february 21,1965 in new york
