world and women were only good for bearing children.
Wollstonecraft was fighting for an education reform that would bring girls and boys an equal education. Wollstonecraft argued that women should be able to enter the world of medicine and politics and if a women wanted to dress up and look nice that it is primarily a case of nurture, rather than nature which was a a big idea that was coming about in Europe at the time. By the use of her eloquent writing style and elaborate ideas, Wollstonecraft was showing her reader, which consisted mostly of men, that if the equality of women came about that there would be more women like her in society. The publishing of this source sparked more and more women to seek equality. This posed a threat to men because they feared that women would take the jobs away from them, which could cause for further repression, which is something that occurred in the United States when women were trying to gain suffrage. The issue of women equality is something that is still occurring in the 21st century. Despite movement that have occurred in history, women still aren’t completely equal to men. This glass ceiling is what is still restricting women from earing equal pay, because of the idea of women’s purpose being bearing children and them being unreliable in the workforce because of their capability of getting pregnant. Wollstonecraft was a feminist that began a movement that is still occurring present day.
