Many Greek people believe in a standard creation of Earth. Ms. Warren changes this standard story. In the story, “Creation of Earth” by Ms. Warren, she changes the mood from boring to colorful. There are many ways Ms. Warren changed the mood, because of the way she tells the story. First, Ms. Warren changes the mood through her word choice. “After a while, Mother Earth bore three more sons” (pg. 1). This quote proves that she changed the mood because Ms. Warren said, “And as many couples do after marriage, they had children.” Second, Ms. Warren changes the mood through details. “After a while, Mother Earth bore three more sons” (pg. 1). This quote states that Ms. Warren changed the mood because
she was less detailed in her version of this story, which made it easier to understand. Third,Ms. Warren changes the mood through the plot.“...So he seized him...darkest pit…” Ms. Warren changed the mood because in her version she skips much of the violence and this entire piece of text. Fourth, the story gets very detailed and violent. “...So he seized him...darkest pit…” Ms. Warren changed the mood because she left out the darkest pit, Tartarus. In conclusion, Ms. Warren changed the mood to colorful. My mood is ALWAYS colorful!
